Abstract

Being quality aluminum die castings providers for over years the organization is likely to face increased rate of rejections and reworks in their valuable castings due to various reducible errors. One such major problem faced by the organization is the excess and unnecessary base fillings in the holes of the die castings which tend to form a thin layer at the base of the through hole. This problem of excess fill can be reduced by proper whole design and use of good quality die coat and proper casting conditions and pressure. But if formed, they become very difficult to remove thoroughly to make the hole throughout and uniform. It involves lot of manual labour effort and time. Hence, there is a necessity to adopt an punch tool to remove the excess fillings carefully and thoroughly within less time and with more accuracy. A guidance made to outline a punch device game plan and the draft is being exhibited to guarantee that the outline is protected and feasible upto the heap conditions indicated.
